The space is very inspiring and present the works from Kirchner by perfection. With new media the exhibition gets an interesting new aspect. The section with the hologram offers a very special insight. And last but not least: the museum shop has a very nice variety of gifts. Kirchner Museum. The rooms are on the dark side and his brilliant colors are toned-down. It's an unimpressive concrete bunker and I don't understand how this helps display the Kirchner paintings. So, I advice you to take a little time-out off your other Alpine activities in Davos, and go see the museum. A pleasant surprise for art lovers While in Davos, we had an afternoon of downtime due to inclement weather, so decided to visit the Kirchner Museum to pass the time.

What a surprise! The art is fantastic, and the story of this intrepid impressionist from the early 20th century is both moving and inspiring. The space is well constructed, the exhibits clearly and interestingly described, and an interesting movie narrative is presented in both German and English.

As an avid amateur artist, this has immediately become one of the highlights of our hiking visit to Davos. Don't miss it!
